And i've been working on a new video game's that are coming out later then expected this year... although the game (Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days) that is being made was suppose to come out this year...(it came out on DS but not PS2 or PS3.) it maybe pushed back so we don't know about it.
The Maker(Tetsuya Nomura) of Kingdom Hearts recently said that there would be a definite KH3, but it would not be coming out for a while. He said that they are going to focus on other things for the time being, but make sure you look for it in the coming years.
358/2 Days was developed by h.a.n.d. with Square Enix employees(LIKE ME!) overseeing the process. The game was directed by Tetsuya Nomura(so serious but he's cool) and co-directed by Tomohiro Hasegawa(so funny but so serious!).

but just to let you in on a little secret Birth by Sleep a.k.a Story behind Kingdom Hearts3 is going to be Release January 2010 ^-^ OMFG I KNOW SO EXCITING!!!!!

Story
The game's story focuses on the three main characters' —Terra, Ventus, and Aqua— efforts to find the missing Keyblade master, Master Xehanort and his apprentice. The story is split into three separate scenarios each focusing on one of the character's efforts to locate Master Xehanort; while the characters will be alone most of the time during their journey there will be times when the characters' paths will cross. Nomura has stated that all three of the characters are equally important storywise, with neither scenario being more important than the other. The game will focus on several main themes such as Ventus' identity and connection with Roxas as well as the mystery behind the memories of the original series' primary villain, Xehanort. Each character's story will take about 15 hours, hence the total amount of gameplay hours would be around 50 hours (including deck-editing and retries) making Birth By Sleep the longest game in the series to date
